Plantable SoySparkle Card: A Small Story That Continues in Flowers
When you light a SoySparkle candle, you're choosing natural materials, clean burning, and an ambiance that makes your home warmer. And when the candle goes out, the story doesn't end. Our branded card from the packaging is not waste. It's the beginning of new life.
What Makes This Card Special
It's a plantable card made from recycled paper – a seed paper with flower seeds embedded in its fibers. It is printed with eco-friendly, naturally derived inks. When placed in moist soil, the paper naturally decomposes, the inks do not hinder germination, and the seeds begin to grow. A simple packaging element thus becomes a mini-garden – a fragrant continuation of your moment in the room.
This is the SoySparkle philosophy: emotion and responsibility. You experience warmth while giving something beautiful back to nature.
How it works
-
Recycled seed paper disintegrates in a moist environment.
-
The paper fibers contain seeds of selected ornamental wildflowers.
-
When moist, the seeds swell and germinate.
We rely on non-invasive, climate-adapted mixtures that are bee- and butterfly-friendly. The exact composition may vary depending on the batch – the standard remains the same: responsible and nature-loving.
Instructions: How to Plant the Card
-
Prepare a pot with drainage and loose soil (substrate).
-
Tear the card into several pieces – this allows the seeds to reach the soil more easily.
-
Place on top and cover with 3–5 mm of substrate.
-
Moisten thoroughly and keep consistently moist, but without waterlogging.
-
Place in a bright and warm spot, avoid direct midday sun.
-
Depending on conditions, sprouts appear after 7–21 days.
-
Prick out/thin strong seedlings as needed.
Tip: The best time to sow is spring or early autumn. Indoors, it works year-round with sufficient light.
Why This is Important to Us
-
Less waste: A branding element becomes a resource instead of waste material.
-
Conscious materials: Soy wax, wooden wick, reusable glass – and a card made from recycled paper, printed with naturally derived, eco-friendly inks.
-
Small gesture, real impact: More flowers mean more urban biodiversity – and more beauty.
Care for Young Plants
-
Keep soil consistently moist in the first few weeks.
-
Plenty of bright, indirect light.
-
Do not sow too densely; rather tear into pieces from the beginning.
-
If possible, use rainwater or standing water.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will every card germinate?
It's a natural product; there's no 100% guarantee. Temperature, moisture, light, and timing of sowing play a role. Following the instructions significantly increases the chances.
Can I sow directly into the bed?
Yes, during the season and in suitable climates. We recommend starting in a pot and planting out later. Please only use mixtures outdoors that are suitable for your region.
What do I do with the glass after the candle?
Clean with warm water and some soap and reuse – as a pen holder, spice jar, or as a small plant pot (e.g., for the seedlings from this card).
A Small SoySparkle Ritual Moment
Light the candle – let the fragrance create an atmosphere, evoke a memory, find silence and peace. Then plant the card – and let a piece of this story blossom into flowers. Beauty that you can not only feel but also grow.
